Local Enterprise Partnerships in the South West – opportunities and challenges for civil society, 12 December 2013, Exeter

esf logoThis workshop was chaired by Nigel Costley, SW TUC and Chair of SW Stakeholders, and provided an opportunity to:

  • Get a better understanding of how the Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) in the South West are taking forward their responsibilities for deciding the strategic priorities for EU and UK investment in economic development and growth.
  • Hear how LEPs are responding to the Big Lottery Fund’s opt-in (matched funding) offer.
  • Hear from other opt in/match funding providers – including Skills Funding Agency and Department of Work and Pensions.
  • Share good practice about effective engagement with LEPs.
