oem_logoProject Evaluation

One East Midlands appointed South West Forum to undertake a final evaluation of the four year East Midlands Funding Advice Network project. The evaluation included achievement of outputs, outcomes and with focus on how the project has achieved impact. In addition it provided recommendations for the future sustainability of the project after the funding for the project ended.

“The evaluation analysis and recommendations outlined in the report provide us with an opportunity to look at the gaps and identify where One East Midlands may develop future projects and services for the sector... We would like to thank you for the professional and knowledgeable approach taken by your team in delivering this piece of work.”

GAVCA commissioned South West Forum to conduct an evaluation of the views of frontline organisations about Voice and Influence in Gloucestershire. Our report focused on how infrastructure support and development organisations might transform the way the VCSE is heard and is supported to influence.

“South West Forum were very helpful in helping us shape the work, met all our agreed deadlines and other requirements and all to the agreed budget. I look forward to working with South West Forum again.”

Subsequently GAVCA asked us to research the market for their organisation development support service offer and inform the business model for this service. In consultation with GAVCA we developed a questionnaire to survey organisations in Gloucestershire and followed this up with in depth interviews with a range of survey respondents to give a qualitative insight into the results obtained.

RAISE commissioned South West Forum  to provide an independent evaluation of the RAISEising the Voice of the VCS in the South East project. The evaluation was designed to assess the extent to which the Project achieved the original outcomes and delivered appropriate outputs and activities.

“South West Forum responded quickly and flexibly to a very tight deadline and delivered a clear, robust and honest report which is providing a critical element in our forward planning.”

Cornwall Voluntary Sector Forum commissioned South West Forum to provide a range of strategic policy and lobbying support and consultancy services to enhance Cornwall VSF capacity but also to make full use of the strategic and region wide expertise in the SWF team. Policy briefings, support to voluntary sector “theme leads” on the Cornwall Commissioning Board and advice and support on key lobbying issues, messages and audiences were the key deliverables for this contract.

“South West Forum provided us with flexible, responsive and high quality advice and support and the critical extra capacity we needed at the time... the Forum’s work has helped us become a more effective strategic player in Cornwall better able to support, advise and represent the interests of front line groups”

Creating Excellence asked South West Forum to provide development support and consultancy to build a strong legacy in the region from the empowerment and engagement work carried out by the Empowering Communities Partnership.

“high quality, responsive and flexible support... The Forum’s involvement was crucial in facilitating a joined up approach across the region. We were especially impressed with the Forum’s approach to designing and marketing the “empowermentworks” brand and building  http://www.empowermentworks.blogspot.co.uk/

Exeter CVS contracted South West Forum to facilitate the initial “partner selection” meeting for a potential Transforming Local Infrastructure (TLI) bid. This commission was very focused and modest, but was regarded as critical to building a coherent TLI partnership and TLI bid.

“The ultimate bid was successful and this first potential partner meeting was an important step in the overall process. We would certainly use South West Forum again in this and other roles where an independent, well informed broker and facilitator was required.”
